Alignment; the Word of God Jeremiah 1:5-12

Alignment; the Word of God Jeremiah 1:5-12

  • The word of God aside from the Spirit of God is most critical when it comes to prayer- I mean effective prayer, alignment in prayer.

  • The Word of God declares that no man knows the mind- will of a man but the spirit; it conclused by saying that we have the mind of Christ.

I Corinthian 2:11-16

11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

  • It tells us that without the spirit (the holy spirit), we are incapable of fully grasping the revelation of God and thus we cannot know or live the will of God.

  • We find in the word of God, the revealed will of God; yet even being born again we need His holy spirit to lead us and guide in all truth -the word of God

  • It is the spirit of God who will bring back to our remeberance at the time of need the ingested word-will of God; enabling us to pray according to the word and will of God.

John 16:13

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

  • So we see how important the word of God is to the vital principle of alignment in prayer.

  • I like what Pual says, pray in the spirit but pray with the understanding also (with all thy getting get understanting)

  • Now watch this...reading the Word of God is a part of your prayer. If you are the only one speaking in your prayer time, it is a monologue; but prayer is diaologue between you and God, between your spirit and the Spirit of God.

  • To pray without ceasing means that we stay receptive to the voice of God, it does not mean we just shout request to God all day long. it is rather a constant exchange

  • When we read the word-we are listening to what God has to say- we are discovering His will, so we can pray thy Kingdom come...

  • Reading the word of God tunes our ears, our spirit-man to the voice/spirit of God, so as we go about our everyday lives, we can hear His instruction for every situation and area in our lives...

there is power in what we speak...

Job 22:27-28

Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

the word of God leads in victory over sin...

psalms 119:105

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

it is the key to success

Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
