Agents of Change

The Canon of Prayer; Day 50 #AgentOfChange

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:17-20 KJV)

When we are born again as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven (Christians), we become apart of the Ecclesia- the Church- the called out one's; a branch of the government of the Kingdom of Heaven that God has instituted to Colonize Earth with the Kingdom of Heaven. The main idea of colonization is to make one place like another; the people, the culture and the government.

As the above scripture states, we are become new creation in Christ, old things passed away and all things become new, we have been changed. Now the purpose of this change is also made clear in the text and it is not so that we can God to heaven. If such was the case why not take the saved to Heaven at conversion? (I will leave you to think about that)

The purpose for the change first-of-all is to recover us from the enemy and restore us to God, to restore the broken relationship between man and God and restore us to dominion; reconciliation.

This text also tell us that He did not just want to reconcile us for reconciliation sake but in order for us who have been reconcile-change to reconcile the rest of Humanity because He wishes that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9).

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

Jesus' first message was be changed for the Kingdom cometh; (Matthew 4:17) the desire of God is that all men be changed (Acts 17:30) so He gave us His Holy Spirit and made us Agents of Change

Prayer

Father Thank you for saving me and making me a new creature in you, giving me a new identity as a son and citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. Thank you for changing me and making me an Agent of Change.

I declare that I will walk in my assignment as an Agent of Change unwavering, undeterred and uncompromising. I bind the enemy that will hinder, interfere and distract me from my assignment as an Agent of Change.

This is the Decree of the King
