Spiritual Blindness

The Canon of Prayer: Day 10

Spiritual blindness is a condition that both believer and unbelievers alike are subject to. It is a trick of the enemy to think that just because you are saved (born again) you are impervious to spiritual blindness. Sad to say, but there is a tremendous amount of believers walking around right now lost due to them being spiritual blind after receiving renewed sight. Spiritual blindness is the inability to see spiritually or see actually in the spirit. When someone is legally blind it is not that they cannot see, it is that their sight is so diminished that even though they can see they are consider blind. The accuracy of their sight is not reliable or consistent with truth without the help of an optical aid.

Spiritual Blind occurred instantly at the bit of the fruit; or you can say at the moment of treason;

“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened” Genesis 3:6-7

Just like that; man became spiritually blinded, Satan blinded man spiritually by opening the eyes of carnality. See, you have to understand that they could already see to understand what really happen when they ate the fruit. The phrase "and the eyes of them both were opened” is not referring to what happened physically but what happened spiritually, and what happened was carnality and carnal sight replace spiritual sight because just like God said “in the day that you eat of the fruit of the tree you shall die”, man died spiritually.

Sight is not just what the eyes see but also what the optical cortex communicates to the brain. The part of the brain that allowed us to see in the spiritual went off line when we died spiritually. This is part of the reason why Jesus said unless you are born again you can’t even see the Kingdom of Heaven. This is why the carnal mind is at enmity with God and is not subject to the law [the royal rule and reign of God- the Kingdom] of God neither indeed can be. So in short, that is why we walk by faith [spiritual sight] and not by sight [physical sight] and why faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God; this is how we renew or mind and bring our spiritual sight into focus after the initial restoration of the ability to see in the spirit.

Yes the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the eyes of them that believe not; but those who believe must be sure to bring our sight into focus by praying for insight and revelation as we renew our mind in scripture. Studying to show ourselves to be approved, right dividing the word of truth.

Prayer

I Pray for those who are spiritual blind because they believe not, that you will reveal yourself to them, that they encounter the glorious Gospel of the King (2 Corinthians 4:4) and be transform out of the Kingdom of darkness and into your Kingdom. And I pray for those who believe and are born again as citizens that they will be filled with a hunger that will bring their spiritual sight into focus that they may see in the spirit as you have intended, so we are not groping around in the dark and being toss to and fro by ever wind of doctrine.

This is the Decree of the King.
