Breakthrough Prayer

The Canon of Prayer; Day 28

There is much to be said about breakthrough; preachers preach it, “prophets” prophesy it and few experience it. People pray, others declare and decree it, but have yet to see it manifest. There are a lot of believer looking, expecting and waiting for a breakthrough. They have cried and prayed, prayed and cried, but it seems that breakthrough just keeps on evading them. This thing, this elusive breakthrough that taunts, that is always just right outside of our reach is not an illusion, it is not a mirage; it is obtainable and real. Your breakthrough may just require some breaking.

Many want the breakthrough, yet few have the discipline to possess the breakthrough they so long for, discipline is the fuel for breakthrough. Breakthrough eludes many because they become distracted and unfaithful "in the wait"; becoming so impatient and desperate for a breakthrough they except a counterfeit for the real thing. How do I know? Well, I’ve been there and done that. Somebody say Amen. The breakthrough you are seeking my require you to break. We may need to break some habits, we may need to break some relationships; we may need to be broken.

For thou desirest not sacrifice [religion and or religious activity]; else would I give it: thou delightest not [take not pleasure in and are not impressed with] in burnt offering [religious activity]. The sacrifices of God [what is acceptable to God, is] are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite hear [repentance], O God, thou wilt not despise (Psalms 51:16-17)

You may say, well sir; I need the break through to break the habit or break the relationship. But the truth of the matter is; you already have everything you need for life and godliness living in side of you (2 Peter 1:3). The word of God tells us

“Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” (1 Thessalonian 5:22-24)

Do the Breaking, God will do the breakthrough

Father I declare disciplined lives that will put a demand on the breakthrough that we are in need of, we submit to you, to your will; we repent of everything not like you in our lives. We praise you right now for the breakthrough that is manifesting and declare we have everything we need for life and godliness.

This is the decree of the King
