Armor of God Prayer
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (2 Corinthians 10:3) Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; (1 Peter 2:11) Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. (2 Timothy 2:3-4)
It is clear that we are at war; the devil started a war in Heaven and was kicked out (Revelation 12:4) Jesus said He saw Satan fall like lightning (Luke 10:18) and he took 1/3 of the angels of haven as his army. When they were kicked out of Heaven the came to earth and they brought the war to us. We are at war!
The devil has launched a full-scale attack on humanity. His primary weapon is a lie, deception; the lie that we are not who we are in God. This is how he deceived humanity into hand over our birthright to the Kingdom colony Earth. He has been warring against us ever since to keep the prophecy God spoke to him the day of the fall from being fulfilled. He lost that battle on Calvary because on that Day Jesus reclaimed the deed to Earth, restored our dominion and reconciled man back to the Father; but Satan is not done fighting.
The enemy is always looking for a way to overtake us in battle (1 Peter 5:8), he is always looking for a chink in our armor. He is warring against us, to trip us up and make us ineffective in ministry. He wars against us to keep from realizing our identity, to keep us from walking in our assignment, to keep us from fulfilling our purpose. WE ARE AT WAR!
The only way for us to secure our victory, to be effective in ministry, to realize our identity, to walk in our assignment, to fulfill our purpose; we need the full armor of God-the full arsenal of God. He is battling for the souls of those who don’t know God; those who are not born again. The Battle is spiritual in the mind. This is why scripture instructs us to “be renewed in the spirit of your mind”. (Ephesians 4:23)
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
The devil has unleashed his whole arsenal against the Church and all of humanity; principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. He has employed the Spirit of Religion, Entertainment, and Error, to keep the people of God from ever realizing our identity. The whole armor of God- the whole arsenal is the word of God.
Every part of the armor of God found in Ephesians 6 is a direct reference of the Word of God. The Belt of truth is a reference to the Word; “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:17) The Breastplate of Righteousness; all scripture-the Word is given to us by God to teach us how to live righteous (2 Timothy 3:16). Gospel of Peace; Jesus gave us the ministry of reconciliation-peace and committed unto us the word of reconciliation, the Word (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). Shield of Faith; faith comes by hear by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). The Helmet of Salvation; the helmet protects the head-the mind, we need to guard our mind with the Word by renewing our mind in the Word (Ephesians 4:23-24, Colossians 3:10). The Sword of the spirit; which is the world of God (Ephesians 6:17)
The battle is spiritual in the mind so we must be renewed in the spirit of the Mind
Father we take up the whole arsenal of God and come against the kingdom of Darkness; principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places, the Spirit of Religion, Entertainment, and Error. We bind, rebuke and chase them to Hell...
This is the decree of the King
