Divine Focus for Divine Purpose

The Canon of Prayer; Day 35 #Focus

Focus:

the center of interest or activity.

an act of concentrating interest or activity on something (Oxford Dictionary)

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)

Jesus tells us to seek the Kingdom of God as our number one priority: this will require our focus. Although we may have the rest of our lives in view; we must be certain to zero in on the Kingdom, it must be our focus. When the Kingdom is not our focus we get off track and of course.

Jesus was completely focused on what the Father sent him to do; as a teen He said I MUST be about my Father’s business; focus. He starts His ministry preaching Kingdom (Matthew 4:17) and declares He MUST go to other towns and do the same; stating it was His divine assignment, the reason He came to earth(Luke 4:43). It is God desire and purpose for is us to follow Jesus’ lead.

We must become like Jesus ( Romans 8:28-28), focus on seeking the will of the Father, His Kingdom (RULE AND REIGN) on earth as It is in Heaven. Our central activity should be seeking the Kingdom, living kingdom, advancing Kingdom.

Focus:

A subject that is being discussed or studied : the subject on which people's attention is focused (Merriam Webster)

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Matthew 24:14)

The Gospel of the Kingdom was the central message of our Savior-King. Not only did He come preaching it and declaring it was the His divine assignment, but He also charged His disciples (us) with the same assignment. Go preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to all the Earth is what He tell us to do. The Kingdom is not only the central focus of Jesus and our assignment, it is the central theme of the Bible; the Bible is about a King (God), His Kingdom (Heaven and Heaven’s colony Earth; God’s intent to colonize Earth with Heaven, the lost and recovery) and His royal family. (humanity). I know there are many trending and popular topics to preach, but stay focused, Kingdom first. When you begin to rediscover the Kingdom, you realize that the Doctrine of the Kingdom covers all relevant and sound topics giving them the proper focus and clarity. Watch out for religious propaganda and pontification that will shift your focus from the Kings assignment.

Focus:

The distinctness or clarity of an image rendered by an optical system. (tfd.com)

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinated to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:29)

We walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)

When things are brought into focus, we are able to see the fine details. When things are brought into focus, things once hidden are revealed, misconceptions and error gives way to truth. When things are brought into focus the image of Christ that we are to be conformed to we see in HD; the image-the character of the King we are to become is now clear for us to appropriate, assimilate and become.

Such a clarity of focus is made possible first by being born again by the spirit by faith(John 3:3), without being born again you can't even see the Kingdom. (Romans 8:7) The mind of an unregenerated person can not begin to wrap their mind around the Kingdom. Then once we are born again we must bring the Kingdom that we are now able to see into focus by renewing our mind (Ephesians 4:24; Romans 10:17) by reading and studying the Word of God. As we grow in faith things come into focus because we see through the eyes of faith.

Prayer

Father give us divine focus for our divine assignment.

This the Decree of the King
